Family background :
Shyam belongs to a family of doctors. His father Dr.S.P.Shah was the civil surgeon of Baroda district. His grand father Dr.P.N.Shah was also a civil surgeon in then princely Baroda State. His sister Dr.Ameeta Shah is a gynaecologist. Most of his uncles and aunts and cousins are doctors. His mother Vanlila Shah is an arts graduate with philosofy as her principle subject. Elder brother Atul Shah is an engineer and doing Project Consultancy. Niece Advaita is an architect in making.
Shyam also has an impressive political background. His uncle Late Mr.Chimanbhai Patel was the Chief Minister of the Gujarat State and aunt Dr.Urmilaben Patel was a minister in the Union Cabinet of Ministers - Government of India.

Spouse & Son
Jagruti, his wife, is a dancer, model and actress. She has rendered her arts of dancing, acting and choreography in about 150 movies, serials, ads & tele films. At present she looks after there home productions.
Pranshu... the lovely baby boy is born on 24th of February 2002 after a married life of more than 17 years. He is named PRANSHU ... one of the many names of the God Vishnu (the creator according to Hindu religion).
